Getting Here

From Denver, take 6th Avenue to 19th Street, just below the “M” on Lookout Mountain, go right on 19th to Ford Street, left on Ford to 12th Street, and left on 12th to Jackson Street. From Boulder, continue onto 6th Avenue from Highway 93 and go to 19th Street. Go left on 19th Street and follow the above directions. Carpooling and use of alternative transportation is highly recommended. Bike parking areas will be available throughout downtown. Please heed all areas marked as no parking, whether designated by temporary or permanent signage.

Moving On

To get from the start to the finish, it is suggested that you follow these directions:

  • Take Hwy 93 north out of Golden and follow for 17 miles.
  • Once in Boulder stay on 93 north to Arapahoe Rd.
  • Drive Time: 30 minutes

Golden Glass - Colorado Glass Works and Early Coors Bottles

Date: April 22 through Sept. 28

Time: Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, noon to 4:30 p.m.

Location: Golden History Center 923 10th St., Golden

Short description: Rarely seen blown-glass dating to the late 1800s, featuring artifacts made at the Colorado Glass Works plant, which operated in Golden, CO from 1887-1888. Included are rare and highly sought-after bottles that are on loan from Dan Mayo and Glen Preble of the Antique Bottle Collectors of Colorado, and from Richard Gardner. Also on view will be glass novelty canes from the City of Golden Collection, as well as early pharmacy, soda, and Coors beer bottles.

Golden Farmer’s Market

Date: Saturdays, June 2 through Oct. 6 (excluding July 28)

Time: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Location: 10th and Illinois streets Next to the library

Short description: Support Colorado farmers and merchants every Saturday in Golden. Golden's award-winning Farmers' Market offers a variety of fresh fruits and veggies, frozen fish and meats, fresh breads, canned condiments and sweets, locally-made wines, plus wonderful pasta and unique cooking ingredients. We even offer restaurant vendors, live music and free horse-drawn carriage rides.
